Kill Your Time, Do Not Waste It!

It always the local sayings: Time is gold. I still remember when I was a school boy, almost every teacher reminded us, the pupils, not to waste time. As far as I concern, there are times people like to just do things they feel cool, and they call this wasting time. In different situation, people also tend to say that we are wasting our time when we do things slowly and looks lazy, just because the one who says it -at that moment- is energetic. To me, every person owns personal definition on this kind of waste. Let us away of it for a while, and look at it in an energetic, enthusiastic look, through making that wasting a beneficial one. So you would never want to miss your weekly wasting times schedule!
Before I go into details, let me share my version of what 'wasting time' is best to describe. To me, it is just anything you do, which gives peace to your mind, or keeps you away for some moment from your routine, eventhough that does not relaxing your body, mostly without rigid plan. It is an easy going, easy doing job. By saying this, I do mean that hide-and-seek among officers in their 30's also gives peace to their mind, and that can be called 'wasting time', too. The rationale is they off their routine job for that silly looking game for persons in that age. The game might get them tired, but it helps them feel refreshed.
There are several ways to make it a good token for you. Look at yourself. Some of us are business oriented, some into academic, some very artistic, and some are more into charity. We never can decide on what we are. It is granted, a divine work, and we can feel it without think. Well, wasting time is about to be, temporarily, in different character. Therefore, never be what you already be. Let the contradictory be obvious. If you are a 'money-eyed' person, try to waste your time chit-chatting to an orphan, and feel the impact. It costs you only time. But you win the good feeling of being able to be thankful again to GOD for giving you wealth, or at least blessing you with many advantages. Looking beyond soul matter, wasting your time this way helps you boost your creative and critical thinking to map out better strategy for your credit growth the following day as you get excited to work enthusiastically. You wake up the lion in you.
Other way to get your wasting time beneficial is through mass media: t.v., newspaper, magazine and the net. They are informative enough to make you an up-to-date kind of person. To some people, you rather do something better than reading those light reading materials. "Gossips are bad!". But to me it is already a good thing to do because it makes us aware of what happening on this planet currently. Try to recall how you read when you have no plan to do anything in Sunday morning. You would not really choose what you wanted to read. It was rather a free reading, unchosen. Sometimes you just browse for cartoonist columns and in other times you read attractive articles. See? Still, there is information you get from it. And most of the times we remember most what we read freely. You are not under pressure and not forced to do so.
I remember when I was in Seoul last June, there was a premise inside the airport, just after your immigration counter at the departure, which provides you light activities to kill time, so you do not get bored of waiting your plane inside there. The premise looks very Korean in its decoration and staffs -they wore traditional Korean dress. Despite of focusing on selling local-themed souvenirs, they help visitors enjoy the moment as being free artists. They provide traditional paper fans and enough materials to draw on it, to allow visitors make their fans memorable self painted crafts. Occupying times here given much to these tired pessengers. Me myself, I did not participate, because I attracted to one thing there that made me standing still keep thinking about it. Well, it is just a written feedback put at the entrance: "Great place to kill your time!!!". The word KILL.
It is normal to use the word. So normal. Perhaps the difference only on usage. 'Kill time' for the times we use to wait for something, i.e. waiting for a friend to come, for a bus to arrive, etc. Otherwise, it is 'waste time'. 'Waste time' also merely a more general one applicable to both situations. But it just came across my mind then that we best use the term 'kill', instead of 'waste'. I based on the purpose or the impact of the act as my rationale. Kill is to save one's life or interest. Contradictorily, waste is just waste without any good outcome i.e. garbage, rubbish, sewage, etc. To level a time par to a waste is wrong, never can be right. A gold is not rubbish. Thus, no one throw gold into trash can. Logically speaking, bad times can be killed by positive activities. It puts up your dignity over negative value. It cannot be wasted. Because it means you let it gone without profitting you, let it be a liability to you. So you feel lonely, the inner part of you says "what to do? I get bored!" it is empty.
Therefore, diverting your intention to waste time to one more beneficial is a better way to deal with the passing by no-plan time. Yet, even with no plan, we still got to manage it well, so we could stay gaining positive impacts. And if you want to name it, I suggest 'kill'.

X Factor of Having My First Blog

I never have blog before. So this is my first one. And yes, before you ask, I do not know what to write here actually. I blur. So I decided to share what is the great 'pusher' that drives me excited time to time -at least up to this minute- to be more 'AUDITORY' type of people.

This very moment, while composing this, I am listening to Lecturer Salmah as she is struggling explaining to us how to eloborate a point in a paragraph, or what a paragraph should have. We are in the four days English Communication Course held by ILIM.

Well, back to the topic, it is actually a consequence of lessons i learned -better word for me: absorb- picked up since yesterday from UKM lecturers Salmah, Azizah and Azhar. I do not know if they made me aware that I should have a blog. Salmah taught me S-P-E-R-M angles in viewing an issue, which is very good. I like the idea. But I added another meaning of E: Environmental. Azizah contributed ideas of how to counter in a battle of nowadays new style of 'neuro-war'. Azhar, my favourite so far in this training, taught me to know myself. Hmm.. I think I know how should I study better way, that works best for me. Thanks sifu!

Knowing S-P-E-R-M and being 'Auditory' for being a bit talkative, I think I should try this. You know, divert your being many mouthes, plus trying to look into any issue via multiple of agles, this is such a great thing! This is leisure. In many times, we do have ideas, bundles of ideas to sell. But some people just get bored to be our faithful buyer of our idea. So, it just come across to my mind, in this same particular class, of why not put it on the screen, and let the interested prospects digest them in their precious brain. I believe among them would not hesitate to continously keeping us updated to the discussed issue, or its related offshoots, by their comments. See? More profitable.

So, this is my x factor why i started blogging haha
